Instructor Testimonials

I loved working at Surfdock. Everyone there was fun to work with. I learned something different from everyone, be it different games or how to keep a group interested in a session. It was a great overall experience

Tom

I worked as a SUP instructor at Surfdock this summer and it was, without a doubt, one of the best experiences of my life. I had the chance to meet like minded individuals, and by the end of the summer call them friends. Like any job it has its challenges, but it is also extremely rewarding. This job is perfect for anyone with an interest in water-sports and teaching others about what they are passionate about.

Sophie

I would absolutely recommend working in Surfdock to other instructors! It's an exciting and rewarding working environment, teaching kids and adults the watersports we all love. There's a really nice team atmosphere working here.

Eoin

I chose to work with Surfdock as I had previously done their camps for 7 years and loved it. When I turned 16 and was looking for a summer job it was the first place that popped into my head. I did my research, got my qualifications and applied for the position.

Since joining last summer I’ve made many friends who have brought my knowledge of water sports to the next level, some of these include kayaking, SUP and wing foiling. Many of my fellow employees are around my age and are always up to having a laugh or joking about whatever.

As a job I would describe it as both interesting and engaging as you have to be alert to participants’ needs.

As for Collin and Nina I find them both very approachable and friendly. They are the kind of people who you can come to with any problem you may have related to the job.

Overall I would highly recommend working with Surfdock.

James

Working with Surfdock was great for my development as an Outdoor Instructor. It gave me valuable experience in dealing with different groups of people over various age ranges.

It helped me develop different coaching techniques with participants with different learning styles and abilities. Nina and Colin are very nice to work for and flexible to your needs such as time and days off. There was a good working ethos within the group of employees. It was well organised which allowed for a smooth daily operation of the activities. I would recommend Surfdock to anyone starting out in the Outdoor Industry.
